In the late seventies, when SNL was hilarious, Dave and I and everyone we knew built our entire Saturday night around SNL. If we went out with friends, we all timed it so we could be back in time for SNL. SNL jokes, ("Jane, you ignorant slut," "New Shimmer is a dessert topping AND a floor wax," etc etc)constantly peppered our conversations--and some of those jokes still do.
But I haven't watched the show with any regularity in over a decade. Too bad--it was fun stuff.
Have you seen any of the Brit versio of The Office? It's just as good.
