Primary

Today is primary day here in Indiana.
Mayor and council people.
We need more women running for office.
I voted.

A too-wordy Haiku. I liked it, although the lyrics kind of sucked. But the music was easy to dance to. I give it a 78, Dick.

Mems,
Excuse this, if it sounds bitchy/snippy--but there's a lot of crap going down . . so I'll answer:
Our city council operates on the Good Old Boy system and I think women will breathe new life into some problems facing our city. IMHO some women have a different way of looking at problems--both fiscal and social problems and I think women are much more likely to try and get a consensus instead of fist-pounding and saying THIS IS THE WAY IT WILL BE.
That's been my expereince...maybe all humans are more laid back and easy going over on your side of the pond. Thank God...or your Greater Power if that is the case.

i don't belong to either major political party, so i'm barred from voting in any primary in my state. i could give in and pick a party, but they're both full of shit imho.

emma male or female, having a new choice is always better than the same old same old crap we usually end up with.

Emma I don;pt think women who want to be politicians are any more in it for the public good than men and I think nasty women in power are worse on the whole than nasty men

I can show you how to get the dead people to vote for you. Also, always remember to wait until the last minute to report your best precincts, so you'll know how many votes to report.
