Yesterday when LP and I were taking back videos to the video place we saw cop cars cordoning off a whole street block. It was about three blocks from here. The police were there the whole day. It seems that an unidentified man went into this guy's apartment and shot him dead. The police theorize that it was about a drug sale gone wrong.
I know this cop from work. He's said that meth labs are just rampant in the Midwest. If they close one down, ten more spring up. Evidently it's cheap to make. You can probably get the formula off the Internet. He told me a tell tale sign you have one in your neighborhood is that there is usually a very, very strong smell of ammonia in the area, since that's one of he components. A co-worker looked horrified and said in the summer when she was walking her dog, she got a whiff of a strong ammonia smell. She thought it was cat pee. "You mean there could be a meth lab in my neighborhood??" Chances are . . .

I took LP to his orthodontist last week. He gets his braces off in a few weeks and he's excited! They've been on for 2 1/2 years.

Will he have to wear a retainer?
Andrew never complained about his braces, but then when they came off, he kept ignoring the retainer regimen. He's had many a lecture from the orthodontist.
My Godson has just had a brace fitted and missed out on toffee apples this bonfire night.
What will be the first naughty thing your son will eat?!?!?
his girlfriend if he's a typical teenager
lol.
Clanky,
his braces didn't ditate what he ate. He still ate popcorn. He still chewed gum. He broke a lot of brackets
NOT a typical teenager. Nearly 13, has mild Aspergers. Cannot cope with emotions of any kind. Incredibly childish and incredibly clever. Won't look anyone in the eye and hops from foot to foot a lot.
Current obsession is food and yug-i-o cards, but in the past it's been houseplants and batteries. Hopefully the next obsession won't be anything to do with whiffs of ammonia.
Hhaha i thought you were talking about LP then I was thinking she's gonna kill you
Mems,
I almost went to get my gun!
lol
Emma, 13 got her braces off a couple of weeks ago. She was told she has to wear her retainer for the REST OF HER LIFE. I said she has to wear it until she is financially liable for her teeth. One word of caution: Don't let LP get too excited about the braces coming off until they actually do it. 13 was told that on her next visit, they would be removed, and she was counting down the days and we planned a big dinner out for ribs, etc. Well, when we got there, he said, "It's looking good, but we're not there yet." I was furious, not because she had to wear them for four more weeks, but because he had raised her expectations without any warning that the date might be moved. She was crying the whole time they put on another big fat wire. It sounds melodramatic, I know, but I have never been so mad.
when spideydaughter got her braces off i followed her around for a whole day telling her to smile and show me her 5000 dollar teeth. she was told 2 times she might get them off the next visit but both times she wasn't ready either. i warned her ahead of time not to get too excited cause i went through the same thing with my braces.
