la dolce far niente
Today is a perfect day to experience The Sweetness of Doing Nothing, or as the Italians say "La dolce far niente." This picture is for Spidey and Orbie. See the beautiful fat yellow and black garden spider? If you look closely the web is visible in the lower part of the picture. This is as close as I could get because it's in back of a Russian sage plant that was covered with bees.

You need a good macro lens... and a good camera to go with it. :)
Ahhh my favorite orbweaver
Thanks Emma
ands you melissa need a really good shag,to take you mind of photography
thanks emma. never mind that comment from rag. the pictures are lovely. apparently she thinks posting pictures on your blog is some sort of contest.
Did I say the picture wasn't good? If I thought Emma was a crap photographer, I wouldn't be egging her on to get a really good camera and fancy/schmancy lenses. I think she's got a very good eye, and a really good camera can only enhance that. She could have gotten us an "Up Close and Personal" with the spider. :) Notice that I don't usually say anything about the pictures on the rest of your blogs. :p
so that is a slam to me then. please refrain from visiting my blog.
I like all the photos on all of the blogs. (Personally, I favor cameras with a PHS button - which, of course, stands for Press Here, Stupid.)
I like my camera just fine. I take pictures for the enjoyment--not because I want them perfect. Some of the best pictures I've seen are the ones that are slightly off kilter.
Sorry Wemma, I get so much enjoyment from my camera....more than you can imagine. Plus, you seem like you have so much fun with your camera that I imagine you'd get the same pleasure I get from having a really good one.
Do you have any of the photo editing software like Photoshop Elements or one of the professional versions of Photoshop? It took me forever to learn how to use Photoshop, but now I have a lot of fun with it.
Ok, Mel. You send me the money for a "good" camera and I'll get one
mel stop acting like you are david Bailey you aren't not even remotely
