how old is she ?
They probably don't want to give her drugs that could make her dizzy and fall again. Sorry to hear about the wrist, but glad it wasn't her hip. My mother-in-law has had about 10 falls, blackening her eyes and cutting open her head. Once, she fell in the driveway and then my father-in-law fell trying to help her up and they both had to lie there until the mailman came by.
I worry about this sort of thing a lot with my mom--who gets up on the ladder to clean her gutters--even though we've offered to pay to have someone else clean them grrrrr
