Abigail

One of LP's grade school acquaintances was murdered last night. She and two friends (one is still in critical condition at a local hospital; the other was treated and released) were somewhere they weren't supposed to be, doing something they weren't supposed to be doing, and they suffered tragic consequences.
People in general do stupid things, and teenagers do stupid things a lot. You can't tell them anything, because they tend to know it all.
My heart goes out to her parents and friends.

i am sure this will give LP a bit of a reality check in the fact that young people die too. young people tend to have that carefree opinion that they can't die.
and sometimes they die when they aren't doing anything stupid at all.

I'm sorry to hear that, Emma. I'm sure that must be traumatic for LP and his friends and all the parents, too. I hope that the girl in the hospital will recover OK.

oh emma, i hope this makes LP think twice. i feel horribly for those girls and their families. i have a few a year that get into trouble. a little boy at my church who is 11 played the "suffocation game" and is now a vegetable. he just sits and stares at the wall all day. i feel so awful for his mother. i don't understand why teens do such stupid things.

Bert,
You have absolutely no right whatsoever to either identify the girl, the police officer, my community. or anything else I do not wish to share on my blog. Go elsewhere to play detective. Absolutely none of your business

bert doesn't get it that his comments are not welcomed on my blog. Unwelcomed--like a fart in church. Blow away already

Spidey,
I might have to do that. I don't want to, but it will probably happen

if you can't read it, it is because i haven't given permission to you anonymous. if you identify yourself, i will consider it. not that i am being a bitch about it,a but sometimes people like to use your shared life against you in a way that no one needs to put up with. the people who you might consider a friend can turn against you in a moment.i personally don't need that.

i hate getting a blogger name spidey. it only lets me use it for a few weeks, then it stops working. this is why i post anonymous and then sign my name.
