Update

Sorry for the neglect. I have been soooooooo busy at work (yuck). Things should start to slow down a bit in a week or so.

BP did not whack me upside the head with a leg of lamb (so far, anyway.)

It's been raining a lot (but not like it has been in Dallas) so my garden looks good. My sunflowers, lilies, coneflowers, scabiosa, lavender, roses and Shasta daisies are blooming.

Since we're having people over on Sunday, all of Saturday will be spent grocery shopping, cleaning this god forsaken house, doing laundry and cooking. My oldest sister wants to bring strawberry shortcake (and who is going to argue with that??)

Let's see:

1. I despise Ann Coulter.

2. I did not watch Larry King's interview with Paris Hilton. Personally I don't see the appeal of either of those two people. Larry's a lump, and Hilton's a strump.

3. I just got a bill from LP's high school bookstore telling me that I owe $112.47 for two books he either lost or didn't return at the end of the semester. I'm giving him a week to come up with the two books or I'm taking that money out of his bank account. I paid to rent those mofos ONCE--I don't want to pony up money to replace them. Sheesh.

4. BP is working on fixing up our old Honda so the child can use it when he gets his license. BP changed the brakes and is working to fix the air conditioner.

5. I'm expecting $4000 at the end of summer. BP wants to go to Vegas with it, but I want him to renovate our bathroom. Since he'll do the work himself, the money will go farther. I want: New floor tile, new wall tile, new vanity, new light fixtures and fans, new toilet--is that too much to ask?

Does LP go to public school? If so, I find it odd that you have to pay for his renting of schoolbooks. I sure do hope he 'finds' those two missing ones.

Put the $4,000 in a Roth IRA.

And regarding the rain....the past two months have been excellent reasons why I don't mind having an all wheel drive vehicle, even though I live in the city.

Our yard is a disgusting pit of weeds, clumpy grass, aspens, and just dirt. I hate seeing it this way but just haven't had any time to work on it. And now it's getting late enough in the Summer that I don't know if it's worth it. I'm kinda thinking this will be a pig yard year. One of my peonies did come back from last year though!

My beautiful rose tree has been wind and rain battered. My lillies have so far survived.

I am glad to see you boycotting the Paris Hilton interview. Most people who have inherited money are vile, smug and pompous. Having said that, locally to me Lord Baths son is one of the nicest guys you could meet.

You have to pay to rent books from school?
I didn't watch Paris either..yuck.
It's definitely not too much to ask.

i agree with #1, I didn't watch paris, as i fail to see why there needed to be an interview, as to the books, my mom paid $120 in school books so my older sister could get ehr diploma, and then found all the books. The school said htey'd take the books, but wouldn't refund the money. My mom should have known my older sister would be a pain for the rest of her life from then on. I'm happy that you're able to use a car you already have. Many of the kids i work with are given new cars that cost twice what my car cost me, and the number of the kids that end up dead is gettin higher. I think it's stupid to give someone who just learned to drive a brand new corvette. Lastly, it's not wrong to want a new bathroom.

how is the passport situation?
