I was across town last night and saw a house with a Christmas tree up already. At first I thought it was a "Halloween tree", but no...it was framed in their picture window . . . a freaking Christmas tree, decorated and lit. In October. If if were QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE, those homeowners would be dead.

maybe the woman of the house is on her death bed and it was her dying wish to celeberate christmas before she expires.

I can see hanging the lights now, before it gets too cold...but I would never put light them yet. To me, even worse, is when people don't take their Christmas decorations down until February.
i would hang the lights now too while it is still a little warm, but i wouldn't turn them on either. i am still trying to enjoy halloween!
When I still lived in Strausburg our landlord left his Christmas lights up year round, and yes, they lit them.
I take my Christmas tree down the day after Boxing day and everyone moans about that. I can't believe that Strausburg person. Perhaps they were elves?!?!?!
