I got visited by a wee gnome today! He said he journeyed all the way from Wisconsin--sent by a lovely Shelfer named Orbie. Thanks Orbie! At this very moment he is busy making friends with all his fellow gnomes here in my abode. I'll soon post a picture of him in his new garden home.
That was so very sweet of you!~!!!

i have gnome-envy
Dear Emma,
My neighbors have black yard gnomes but they won't tell me where they got them or i'd get you one, i know you're an equal-opportunity gnome collector.
jilly
Jilly,
Why won't they tell you?! I think that's just wrong. Are they afraid you'll steal their landscaping idea?
Glad he got there safe and sound and quickly LOL :)
Dearest Emma,
I think they're (as my mom would say) "common bitches."
Do you all say "common" there to mean "trashy"?
If not, common means: trashy, base or low.
Anyway, maybe i'll google black yard gnomes later.
love,
jilly

you better be careful with the black gnomes... this is what I got when I googled them
Orbie,
I liked this comment under the story:
Racist gnomes are the worst
And Gnomes have something to brag about. Look at the way they dress. All those bright colored clothes and the pointy hat, and what’s with the curly pointy toed shoes? And I’ve never seen a gnome to a lick of work in the garden. Damn lazy gnomes, I say deport them all.
